To sign into your CEX account, go to the official site or open the verified mobile app, click “Sign In”/“Log In”, and enter the email address connected with your account and your password. If you have enabled two-factor authentication, you’ll be prompted to enter the code from your authenticator app or SMS. Confirm the presence of the secure lock icon in your browser and verify the domain to ensure you are on the legitimate site.
Two-factor authentication adds a second layer of defense beyond your password. Without 2FA, anyone who obtains your password could access your account. With 2FA enabled, attackers also need the time-limited code or hardware key. Use an authenticator app or a hardware security key where possible, and keep your 2FA backup codes somewhere safe offline.
Common reasons for failed login attempts include incorrect passwords, outdated app versions, browser extensions blocking scripts, or device time desynchronization (which can break TOTP codes). Troubleshoot by resetting your password, updating the app, disabling strict privacy extensions temporarily, and checking that your device clock is set to automatic network time.
Use the “Forgot Password” option. You’ll receive an email with a secure link to create a new password. If you don’t see the email, check any spam folders. Never reset passwords via links from suspicious emails — always navigate directly to the official site. Once you reset, use a strong, unique password and verify 2FA is active.
If you cannot recover access through the standard flows, prepare required verification documents and contact official support channels. Be patient and follow the verified instructions; avoid sharing codes or passwords with anyone claiming to be support via chat or social media unless they’re part of the official support channel and verified.
